In this workshop, participants will use their own personal photographs to explore bookmaking and storytelling. Participants will learn to bind simple notebooks using a three-hole stitch, a form which provides for flexibility in number of pages while remaining very simple to recreate at home. With gentle guidance, each participant will work with photographs and simple writing exercises to engage with various ways of story-telling. Instructor Colleen Mullins has been a photographer and book artist for 30+ years. Her work is generally centered on a topical subject, interspersed with a pearl of incongruity, and an overactive interest in pawing through archives.
